Praveen Kumar G. is a development practitioner, who has worked extensively on social inclusion, for the past two decades. With expertise in programme design and management, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, organisation development, human resource management and research, Praveen has designed and developed approaches and tools to promote inclusion in health, education and livelihoods programming. As a development practitioner, he has worked with a range of stakeholders to bring about lasting change in marginalised people’s lives at the intersection of inclusion, equality, access and justice.
Praveen is a Chevening Gurukul scholar from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has international experience of working on global development issues across Africa, South and South East Asia. He is also the social inclusion advisor at VSO International, in addition to being associated with various civil society and international organisations.
A trained social worker from Madras Christian College, he is also a Trainer / Facilitator on diversity and inclusion and has trained various stakeholders including corporates, civil society, UN and government agencies. As a coach he mentors youth and persons with disabilities towards their social and economic empowerment. He serves on the board of AADI (Action for Ability Development and Inclusion) an organisation that works for empowering persons with disabilities.
